Hopefully everyone is resting, relaxing, and recharging, and enjoying what has been a terrific summer so far. I know our students are keeping up with their summer reading and taking every advantage of the summer break. Please keep vigilant of others at the pool, pond, or beach so that all may enjoy a safe summer in the water. 

 

We welcome Mr. Stephen Baroni as the new Principal of the Clara Barton Elementary School. Mr. Baroni comes to us from Ashland where he served as the Assistant Principal of the David Mindess Elementary School. Mr. Baroni has taught at the elementary level and brings a tremendous amount of leadership and educational competency to the district and we look forward to a great year with him on our administrative team.

 

Mr. Yvon and Mr. Baroni are working together to ensure a smooth transition of materials between Clara Barton Elementary School and A.M. Chaffee Elementary School, as well as a seamless move for our students and faculty. Our custodians are doing an outstanding job getting the buildings cleaned and furniture and equipment moved to the proper locations so that we will be ready to welcome new staff on Friday, August 20^th. 

Our entire staff will report on Monday, August 23^rd to welcome back students in Grades 1-12 for the first day of school on Tuesday, August 24^th.  Our Kindergarten pupils will be reporting to A.M. Chaffee Elementary School on Wednesday, August 25^th to begin their journey through the Oxford Public Schools. As bus routes, class assignments, Edu-care schedules, and all other logistics are finalized, we will share that information as quickly as possible.
