MANDATORY TRAINING

Each school district in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required by regulation to provide annual mandated training on various topics. Further, this training also serves to protect individuals and the District, and ensure that all employees know their rights and responsibilities. District employees are required to participate in this mandatory training on an annual basis.

The online training is expected to be completed by September 30th of each and every school year by all staff members, and within 30 calendar days for new hires during the school year.

The Oxford Public Schools uses an outside vendor, Litix Academy, to administer the mandatory training. Litix Academy is an online training platform that provides relevant and engaging content developed by educators to satisfy the K-12 training mandates.

ETHICS ONLINE TRAINING

The State Ethics Commission provides this educational tool, which includes a short presentation with multiple-choice questions that present certain scenarios in which an ethical quandary has been presented, and you must choose the proper course of action.

Mandatory ethics training for Massachusetts public school teachers is handled centrally by the Massachusetts State Ethics Commission. It requires online education on the state's conflict of interest law, which is tracked via a unified statewide portal.

They will contact you yearly to let you know what is expected of you. You will  review and acknowledge the summary document every calendar year, and complete the full online training video every 2 calendar years.
